Oh My God. This film is so chilling. I just saw it and feel thoroughly lucky to be alive. You have to see this. Truck driver kidnapped and buried in Iraq. That's all you need to know. I can't spoil it for you.
Interesting one this. Totally mixed bag. Sassy London Broads in quick-thinking slice of modern escapism. It's a sexy film. But with wooden acting at times. Could quite easily have been elevated from a 6 to an 8. Good effort though.
This rules. I don't care what ya say, Clooney's a Class Act. Great acting, good story, crap ending. Such is life. Clooney is what a proper movie star used to be. COOL. I wanna be him. His stock can only rise.
Never heard of it, guv' ! All the better for it. No expectations. John Hurt's the master, but Jason Priestley's a one pony-trick...even if he is satirising himself. More films with London Buses in, please.
I thought Shia Lebeouf was meant to be crap. He's good in this in fact. He gets the girl tho' of course. It would have been better if he'd not got the girl and then listened to Decemberists' records. A good movie, but a crap film.
Bloody bonkers and no mistake ! Haha. This Nurse Bird, right, looks after this actress bird who can't talk anymore. They start off liking each other, then it all goes tits up. But being an arty film where not a lot makes sense, er....not a lot makes sense. Don't watch this after too many Golden Grahams. It will freak you out. Bloody amazing imagery though.
Only £1.50 in CEX ! Not bad at all really ! Jodie Foster is....er..Jodie Foster as usual and Kristen Stewart is a bit of a smart ass. The baddies are not really that bad, but the New York Real Estate looks suitably moneyed. A firm seven out of ten.
Strange one this. Sounded great on paper, but this modern horror flick only delivered on a few levels. Some of the scary moments are clearly not. Shame. If it'd made me shoot out of my seat a bit more I might have given it more props.
First thing I noticed was Alexander Payne producing. Second Thing I noticed was the cheesey 70s schtick of this rather hilarious movie. This is one to leave your brain at the door with. But none the worse for that. Never has insurance looked so kitsch.
Wow. Best movie I've seen in ages. Mexican Boy made bad in 24 hours of fuckup tale. Stylish, sexy, dangerous, current and did I mention stylish? The crackers who slammed this on IMDB need to take a shit.
Only just caught this. Great little film, with a slightly disappointing ending. Really kept up the momentum until the end. Robin Williams is great in this. We empathise with him, a lonely fellow looking to be part of a family at any cost. The "All-American" look of the film is fantastic. Total apple pie. With a side order of intrigue.
Aaaah, I can never get enough of Julianne Moore. Liam Neeson I can take or leave. Ms Moore plays a suspicious Doctor, tracking the adulterous movements of her husband. Employing a call-girl (Amanda Seyfried) as a honeytrap, things end in a most unpredictable fashion. It's directed by Atom Egoyan, whoever he is....ahem. Well, Look Magazine liked this film...but don't let that put you off. It's very good. A nice bit of sexy escapism.
Awful, just awful. Sasha Grey plays a high-class callgirl trying to improve her situation in the midst of the recent financial crisis. Steven Soderbergh directs this mindless mush. They could have at least included subs on the DVD as the mumble factor in this movie is sky-high. 75 mins that feels like 175.
Can't believe I missed this first time around. A bloody GREAT film. Superb performances from Dame Judy and Cate Blanchett. The way Judy's character evolved was pure genius. And if you're not in love with Cate by the end of this movie you have no soul. Very, very sad. And moving.
Well, i just discovered this film today. To be honest, great film. A refreshing Irish movie concerning relationships and the f*cked up things we do for them. Shirley Henderson, one of the most underrated actresses in the world appears and for this reason alone it's worth watching this movie. But this movie is engaging, funny and poignant. Check it out.
